ROLE: UX/UI DESIGNER

Summary.

An electronic components distributor needing a redesign of their website. As the designer, I collaborated with the development team in Pakistan to create a complete redesign of a responsive website meant to capture more searches.

Process.

Met with COO and other Senior Directors to understand which call-to-actions were most important. Then used wireframes to map out the importance of information throughout the pages.

Goals.

The original website architecture was based on capturing quote requests. A change in strategy was made to instead focus on part searches and bill of material uploads that users would make.

Solution.

I removed the request for quote call-to-actions and instead placed the search bar and upload buttons as the main focus. The CTAs would remain as the main banner on each page, but then collpase into a sticky header once scrolled.
