MedFo.

ROLE: UX/UI DESIGNER

Summary.

A group of pharmacy students came together and realized a large portion of the population was not meeting their needs in medicine due to language barriers. MedFo is a mobile appplication with the ability to search any medication information in a variety of languages, bridging the gap in patient care. Language barriers will be a thing of the past.

Process.

Met with the founders to understand their vision for the brand and application. Then used wireframes to map out the hierarchy of information throughout the pages, completing the concept for future use.

Goals.

As a group of people with immigrant parents whom do not speak English as their primary language, the app's goal is to target, not only the parents, but also the children. The goal is for the children of immigrant parents to introduce this app to them, in a seamless and easy transition.

Solution.

As most second generation children speak English, and may have lost some ability to speak or read their parents' language, the app needed an easy way to toggle between languages. With a simple dropdown, the children and parents could look up medication and explore the entirety of the application in their preferred language.
